Blog Assignment 1: Childhood Memories
The most important thing I think a child should have with them when they grow up and out into the adult world, and out into the adult world and the adults' responsibility to ensure that children with it.
First, it is a subject which I think is very large and, because it is not just a thing that a child should have to go out when released into the adult world but it is huge, many things. I remember myself when I was young, and video games began to become more and more popular, and even computer games and other content - activities. Personally I was never into the vevan because I was not interested, but I know others who did. Today it feels like the video games and computer gaming has become even worse than it was before, and for some even a drug.
A few days ago my partner came home from his high school teaching and was a bit sad one of his pupils. He had gone into a serious computer game according to his father was very worried and even called the school to get help from there. The sad thing was that because the guy was doing and good reultat good work during lessons and has approved the school can not help him. This is totally sick! That one can not help a student from a computer game addiction. Who knows, perhaps he had even better grades if he did not depend on computer games during the evenings and nights. Where is the Swedish school going and where is the Swedish society coming to? I think not that we adults should teach children that there is help to get the dependencies and that we can not take the proper gloves. Then of course the children get the knowledge that we adults only please beings and that it may make you want all the time, which is not true.
Besides this, I think also that we should give children a basic knowledge of all the substances that you read up to and including nian, as well as training in social skills and health. Although many children are today, then I believe there are few who continue to do so when they become adults. I feel like I am talking about myself among others. When I was younger, for example, was I me a lot during the week. But now there is as much a routine of everyday life as it was then. I think simply that we need to learn when we are children that training is one thing that they should continue even when they get older, and not just add to that I did.
Another thing I think of that I think we adults are poor at giving children knowledge of the word DEMOCRACY. How often we allow, for example, children get to be involved and to determine how teaching is to go to and what they want to learn? Sure maybe you have as a theme - work which the children can determine a little bit, but how much more lay children today? I think we are poor at Elevdemokrati and it is no wonder that the students think it is sad to democracy if we do not teach it to them at an early age. There are how many different fun exercises democracy any time that you can do with the kids today and get democracy in other ways. It is just to be open to ideas.
Oh, I see now that I've written a lot and feel I could write much more, but here I end this task for this time.

Dear Susanne,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your thoughts on the subject of childhood memories! I can see that you feel strongly about it!
When it comes to the structure of your text, I can’t see a proper introduction in your text. Paragraphs 2 – 4 deal with one idea each, which is good, although I must confess that I can’t really make out what paragraph 3 is about. Is it about exercise? Go over what we have said about topic sentences and make sure to begin each paragraph with a topic sentence that tells the reader what the paragraph will be about. Also, make sure that you have a concluding paragraph where you sum up the most important things you have said, and make a final comment. Avoid the kind of ending you have now – you want the reader to be convinced by what you have to say!
As to language, I’m afraid there are large parts of your text that I just can’t make sense of. Therefore it is difficult for me to pick out specific things for you to work more with. I suggest you write your texts in a word document first, and make use of the spelling- and grammar check. Then you can copy and paste your text into your blog. But you also have to proof-read your text, because there are mistakes that will still go unnoticed. Check every sentence and make sure they sound OK.
A few examples of errors are negations: “I do not think”, not “I think not ” (in paragraph 2), sentence fragments, e.g.: “That one can not help a student from a computer game addiction.” “The most important thing I think a child should have with them when they grow up and out into the adult world, and out into the adult world and the adults' responsibility to ensure that children with it.”, vocabulary (what is “nian” and “vevan”?). Make sure to go over your texts several times, and check structure as well as language.
Looking forward to reading your next blog!
Best,
Marika
Hello Sussi!
ReplyDeleteFirst I would like to say that you have a good point in your discussion about the word Democracy. The word is very important and necessary for us to learn the pupils.
Something you can consider in your next blog, is to make more specific examples of what you mean. In many parts of your contribution, I really didn't understand what you want to say and sometimes words were missing that may have been important for the whole meaning of the sentence. Make the text more understandable.
Try also to write, so it is easy for the reader to read and follow your thoughts. Try not to write in the way you speak.
Greetings/ Louise
You can't be addicted to a videogame.
ReplyDeleteHere is a lecture on the subject:

An intreresting text about your childhood memories. But are you using some Swedish words in the text? in the first pharagraf "vevan" and the third "nian".
ReplyDeleteAnd some word can be translatet without losing the main contense. Like Student democracy (=elevdemokrati")
And I also agree with earlier writers.
